Introduction:
Despite the much training and mentoring on leadership, the greatest challenge that has plagued the 21st century Christianity and the society at large is lack of good leadership. Almost every bad situation, the splits, the scandals and corruptions within the Church and our society today can be attributed to bad leadership.
In Nigeria for instance there is deficiency of good leadership not just in the Churches but the entire nation.
The leaders lack the required capacity, preparation, ideas, and maturity to lead the Church, organizations etc. to a desired goal, growth, and expansion. When the Church or organization makes it easier for someone or people who do not know or have any relationship with Christ, who has a questionable character, who has little or no preparation and idea of leadership, assumes leadership positions, they are courting for disaster.
“Woe to thee o land When thy king is in a child
And thy princes eat in The morning” Eccl. 10:16

The emphasis here is not on age but character. Character of immature mind. Character of slave-mentality. Character of forgetfulness. Character of inconsistency. Character of foolishness. When there is a mentality of childishness in the mind of the leader. It brings woes to the land.
The height to which any group, organization institutions, corporate bodies families or nation will attain, determines chiefly by the leadership qualities and attributes of the leader. This means the success of any group is measured within the limits of its leadership capacity.

Good leadership is more than managing people. Good leadership is not all about having great knowledge. Good leadership is more than involving new ideas and methods. Good leadership is more than occupying a position.

It is the ability to inspire, influence, and move a person or group of persons towards realization and achievement of a worthy goal. Every good leader provides direction, maintains order and guarantees success. Every good leader is focused. Every good leader moves towards the vision and goal that they have. Every good leader values men. Every good leader knows what to do and what not to do. They provide enthusiasm. Good leadership is the readiness to endanger oneself for a cause.

“It is better to die for a cause, than
to live for nothing” Unknown.
In his book, LEADERSHIP GOLD, John C. Maxwell said,

“Leadership is passion to make a difference with others” “Taking responsibility while others are making excuses”. “And seeing possibilities in a situation, while others are seeing limitations”.

This book has been packaged to stir up your heart and provoke you to rise up to become a better leader!
