ENGLISH LANGUAGE
PRAYER:
English is my subject I shall not fail, it leads me to know
my adverbs, it restores my verbs, it leads me to the parts of speech for its
name sake. Even though I walk through the valley of nouns and pronouns, I fear
no adjective for my prepositions are with me. My dictionary and my books, they
comfort me. They prepare a table before me in the presence of my exams. They
anoint my head with conjunctions. My interjections overflow. Surely, phrases
and clauses shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the
house of English forever and ever.
